Brno, day 4

Hopefully I can finish the macOS Spice build today, but my hopes are not that high…

Qt build issue

Apparently, QTBUG-58325 is related to the path of the Apple command-line tools. I’m glad I found an issue that the Qt CI did not see. The bug priority was raised to P0 (which I understand is “release blocker” or something like that).

Dry run of the Spice presentation for

Meeting with the product manager.

More mail setup (mail on phone, one more machine), meaning more exploration of the internal documentation.

Spice on macOS

Next error:

See the Autoconf documentation. error: possibly undefined macro: AC_LIBTOOL_WIN32_DLL error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_LIBTOOL
autoreconf: /usr/local/Cellar/autoconf/2.69/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1
*** Error during phase configure of libepoxy: ########## Error running ./ --prefix /Users/ddd/spice-jhbuild/inst --disable-Werror --disable-static --disable-gtk-doc --disable-introspection *** [29/47]

There are other concerning issues, so this is one that I believe has to be solved with brew install libepoxy. Problem is that this is apparently already installed?

Nice walk in the city

There is a lot to see in Brno. It’s an old city with a lot of interesting history. And tramways everywhere.

Author: Christophe de Dinechin

I try to change the world, but that's work in progress. If you want to know me, google "Christophe de Dinechin". Keywords: concept programming, virtualization, OS design, programming languages, video games, 3D, modern physics. Some stuff I did that I'm proud of: the first "true" 3D game for the PC, HP's big iron virtualization, real-time test systems for car electronics, some of the best games for the HP48 calculator, a theory of physics that makes sense (at least to me).
